5 Ways to Cultivate More Self-Confidence

1. GET TO KNOW WHO YOU ARE: BE YOURSELF
Don't be afraid to be yourself. Get to understand your purpose, and your gifts.
2. START SMALL: TAKE MANAGEABLE STEPS
If it looks big and overwhelming, break it down into smaller steps that you can handle. Build your confidence.
3. STRETCH YOURSELF: TAKE SMALL CALCULATED RISKS
By pushing yourself a bit beyond your comfort zone, you build confidence. Educate yourself. Join a class to brush up on public speaking. Approach a stranger at a meeting and initiate a conversation. Submit an application to exhibit your artwork you've been hiding in the closet for eons. The more you do it, the easier it'll become. And the more confident you'll be about doing it again.
4. STUDY AND EMULATE CONFIDENT PEOPLE WHO YOU ADMIRE
Learn about someone who you look up to. How do they express their confidence? How did they become successful in their field. Interview them, if possible and do research. You can emulate them but still be yourself by putting your own spin on how you express your confidence: with a smile, the way you dress with a certain style, how you use your voice, etc.
5. GET SUPPORT: FIND A COACH OR MENTOR
One-on-One coaching can make all the difference in helping to build your confidence at the workplace, in business and in your social life. Look for a local success coach who can help you to get closer to your goals and gain the confidence you need to succeed.

5 Tips for Coping with Life Challenges

5 Tips for Coping with Challenges

1. PRACTICE BEING THANKFUL
Cultivate gratitude for the blessings that continue in your life - Write down 5 things you are grateful for, such as family support, friends, a creative mind. Keep the list with you and tape a copy to the bathroom mirror.

2. ASK YOURSELF:
WHAT CAN I DO ABOUT THIS?
Begin to take baby steps toward finding a solution. Call the creditors to work out a payment plan. Sit down and talk with the person you are having trouble with and try to iron out the ruffles.
3. IF IT'S OVER - ACCEPT IT
Some things are not fixable, like the death of a loved one, loss of a job. Let go of regrets and channel your energy towards preserving good memories and pursuing future goals.
4. VIEW IT AS A LEARNING EXPERIENCE
Though hard to do in the midst of hurt and disappointment, by taking this approach you empower yourself and can turn it to your benefit. Ask yourself what you might do differently in a struggling relationship, or how you might improve yourself so that you can do better next time.

5. STAY POSITIVE AND MOVE ON

Stay positive about yourself and your life. Keep things in perspective to avoid falling into the negativity trap. Stay focused on the positive and continue to set goals.
